The Tompion Clock, The Pump Room

'The magnificent equation clock by Thomas Tompion which stands in the Pump Room is probably the best known of all the works of this master horologist, for almost all visitors to the city make a point of seeing it, as one of the outstanding exhibits in the famous Pump Room building.' Robinson and Bossi 1952. 300 years have passed since this clock was presented to the Bath Corporation; today it stands near its original position.
