The Polish Palm

Contributed by stjohnfisher-Perivale

How do Polish people celebrate with the palm?

In Poland a special palm is given to people to take to church during Easter mass and the priest blesses it so they can have a wonderful Easter with their family. This palm represents how we celebrate Easter is Poland, when polish people see it they want to buy it so that they can celebrate Easter with lots of joy. I know that Easter is special because it gives us lots joy. We celebrate Easter because it is the time when Jesus was born for us.

Why is the Palm Special?

The palm is special for Polish people because when the priest blesses it, we feel joyful for the coming of Easter. We are then able to celebrate Easter time and share presents with each other.

If someone forgets to bless their palm they may feel sad and even unwell.
