Oldest dated Curling Stone in the world

Curling was originally a northern hemisphere sport and mostly concentrated in Scotland and Northern Europe. Now it is an international sport and features prominently in the winter olympics. This is an example of a sport that was available to everyone regardless of wealth or social status. It is still a sport with these ideals and the idea has spread around the world. It is still primarily an amateur sport and can be played an any level of ability. This object represents those people that came out on cold winter mornings to join with their community for competition and enjoyment.
