An 18th century beautifully carved wooden model of a standing post boy holding a letter. This would have been used instead of a hanging sign outside the Andover Post Office in Hampshire. It would have assisted those who could not read to locate the post office. The wooden postboy is holding a letter addressed to the man, who was the postmaster at the time. It is also very attractive in its own right.
