PERRANZABULOE MUSEUM. This is the uniform of three year old Jacqueline Pamela Fewins of Tregarth who became the mascot of the 224th Battalion 29th Division of the 9th Army of the United States. Made from a cut-down American officer's uniform by Lieutenant Dooley, Frankie Patterson and Gene Halibert, they even added a miniature hat. Frankie was killed in Normandy soon after D Day. He had been the warrant officer at Perranporth prior to D Day. A photograph of Jacqueline wearing her uniform was given to the museum by Frankie's family. It is displayed alongside the uniform.

The Fewins family lived next door to American HQ at Perranporth. Cornwall became one of the training grounds for American troops in the run up to the D Day landings in World War II.
