A pamphlets from the Glasgow based Acme Wringer company showing its range of wringers. Acme wringers were common place in most household up to the advent of electric spin dryers and washing machines in the 1960's. Those of a certain age will remember their mother or gran mother wringing clothes and blankets at the sink with the help of their trusty Acme wringer. Property of Robert Pool
