Increasing concerns about world ecology and the future of the world's species are ongoing issues for Haslemere Educational Museum and many of our exhibits have come from scientists who have travelled the world in fields of exploration. As an educational museum, learning from science and research has always been at the core of what we do and we hope to play our part in educating the next generation. The window, with its subject matter of wetland wildlife, celebrates that commitment to learning and the work of the many volunteers, who have helped shape the museum over the years. The window was commissioned in 2001 and was made by local stained glass artist Rachel Mulligan. It is one of the objects featured on our AHOW Relic trail.
