de Havilland aeroplane propeller

This cross section of an aeroplane propeller was made by the de Havilland Aircraft company. It is probably test piece made by de Havilland Propellers. Early in the 1930s the de Havilland Aircraft Company moved to Hatfield and took over three farms. In the years to come the company played a vital role in the production of aircraft in this country, producing more than 20 types of planes including the De Havilland Mosquito, Dove, Hornet, Vampire, 108 and the Comet which was the first jet civil airliner.
