Soul Power is a fortnightly club night with well-known DJ Adam Regan playing a mix of nu jazz, broken beat and Latin music. Regan built up a loyal following during spells at Birmingham's Medicine Bar. Also working there will be another highly regarded DJ, DJ Dick, from Snobs and Different Drummer.

Soul Power begins at The Swan, Hagley Road, Stourbridge on Thursday September 28, 2006. Admission is free. Further details can be obtained from 07966 423939. Reuben Seager, promotor, said: "The event is unique for Stourbridge as there have not been any Nu Jazz, Broken Beat and Latin nights held here. We have a DJ who has performed around the the world in Adam Regan as well as hosting his nights at The Medicine Bar in Birmingham with his cohort and partner DJ Dick of Snobs and Different Drummer fame. "Nu Jazz is the type of music played by Gilles Peterson of Radio 1 Worldwide and Acid Jazz label fame. "This event will attract the 'cool' crowd from around the the Black Country and Birmingham and will be held every other Thursday from 28 September." |
