Three of the biggest and best up-and-coming bands from the West Midlands - Gundogs, Mexicolas and Heresy - will take to the stage for 主播大秀 WM Introducing's first ever live event on 95.6FM.

主播大秀 WM Introducing presenters Brett Birks & Louise Brierley will host the event from the Robin 2 in Bilston and all proceeds will go to 主播大秀 WM's Kidney Kids Appeal.

Kidney Kids is the biggest campaign ever run by 主播大秀 WM and aims to raise 拢1.5 million for a new kidney unit at Birmingham Children's Hospital.

Doors open at 8pm for a special support act. The show itself then kicks off at 10pm and will be broadcast live across the West Midlands on 95.6FM, DAB digital radio and through this website as Gundogs, Mexicolas and Heresy take to the stage.

Groucutt & Haynes

The acoustic duo will be playing a special support slot to welcome you to the Robin 2 that won't form part of the live radio broadcast.

Robin Groucutt is a an extremely talented young musician and is actually the son of ELO legend, the late Kelly Groucutt.

Stourbridge singer-songwriter Dan Haynes is no stranger to 主播大秀 WM Introducing, having played live on the programme twice in the past - a record!

The two have now teamed up and their original blend of acoustic folk will offer a calm start to the night before the rock bands hit the stage!

Gundogs

Evoking comparisons with Nirvana, Sex Pistols and Nine Inch Nails, the two-girl, two-guy line-up ooze style, attitude and sex appeal and are one of busiest bands in the West Midlands.

They gigged extensively across the UK in 2008 and played live on 主播大秀 WM Introducing in July promoting their debut single 'Call Out My Name'. Festival slots - such as the prestigious Isle of White - have been thick and fast.

Dozens of radio plays and rave press reviews have followed Gundogs everywhere and huge support slots with the likes of The Twang, Sex Pistols, Editors and Kill Hannah last year will be topped in 2009 as they take to the same stage as Pete Doherty and Supergrass.

Mexicolas

Few young bands can claim to have toured the US and Japan in the same year, yet Mexicolas have now built and international reputation since first performing on 主播大秀 WM Introducing in November 2007.

A five date tour of LA last summer saw the three Digbeth lads play at the legendary Viper Room, one of America' most iconic music venues.

They followed that up with a visit to Tokyo in October which led to signing a recording and distribution deal with Sony/BMG in Japan.

Mexicolas have since had their tracks featured in the popular video game Burnout Paradise and saw Total Guitar magazine vote their debut album 'X' as one of the top 50 albums of 2008.

Mexicolas are currently hard at work on their second album and will surely unveil some new songs when 主播大秀 WM Introducing comes to the Robin.

Heresy

The Black Country progressive rockers have built up a huge local following and have proven to be one of the most popular bands on 主播大秀 WM Introducing since playing on the show live in July 2008.

Heresy

Combining a powerful mix of sweeping rock ballads and epic anthems, Heresy deliver a powerful live set with real pace and energy.

They are currently on the road promoting their 13 track album and have played at some of the West Midlands' most prestigious venues.
