I remembered that I had safety pins and I know you can make bracelets from them so I decided to use that idea in my jeans and enlarged a rip I already had on the knees and pinned it back together with safety pins with beads on them. I used an old black and white gingham top thus the patches and it had ribbon straps so the ribbon bows tied up are sewn to the pockets I also used zips from old pairs of trousers on the bottom legs. I made it kind of over the top but in a way I like and also with the safety pins you can change your style to suit your mood or other things you are wearing by just changing the beads or leaving the pins blank or completely off meaning its also washable without the pins rusting.
