My inspiration was hurricanes and tropical storms in Mexico. Mexico is one of the countries which had been affected badly by previous hurricanes. I wanted to create a garment which portrayed how big and dangerous some of the hurricanes can be.The orange Mexican hat was intended to represent that many peoples lives had been destroyed or affected by the hurricanes that I read stories about and how most of them managed to continue their lives normally and happily. Like the suns shining above their heads always. It was very inspirational for me.
