I found my inspiration when I researched Mexico's history and culture along with the light fabrics and beaded patterns from Matthew Williamson's amazing autumn winter and summer collections. I was inspired by the beautiful mosaic Aztec patterns and bright red colours from modern Mexican clothing. This dress is layered showing bright red satin flares trimmed with black at the bottom; gold, black and red Aztec patterns in the main body of the dress and the sombrero hat. There is bright red satin again at the top of the dress with chain straps. I used red to show the hot spicy food and climate. This dress is layered with an under lay of black satin to create the impression of curves and has flamenco-styled flares to keep you feeling cool and looking fabulous.
