What struck me most when researching into Mexican culture was the intensity of the colours in the textiles and the liveliness of the festivals. My dress design is vibrant with a print made using symbols and colours from the indigenous huichol Indians set against the warm earthy tones taken from Mexican architecture and desert. The dress has an attached scarf starting at the neckline which then carries on to wrap round the body mixing the vibrant prints and colours.
