MEXICAN-INSPIRED-OUTFIT

I researched on what makes Mexico: its music, its food and its festivals. I tried to incorporate all these aspects into my design, while at the same time, keeping it away from the traditional Mexican dress. My finished design has been inspired by a lot of traditional Mexico, such as the chilly print poncho (chillies representing Mexican food) which has tassels such as those on a traditional Sombrero. Also, I have used a Mexican flower pattern, commonly found on plates and pottery, on black tights - this is an example of how I tried to fuse traditional with modern and current trend...There's lots more about my outfit that links to Mexico, which I could go on and on explaining, but I'm not going to because most of it is quite evident from the design...
