Part of my inspiration came from flamenco dresses. This was because they are Spanish and Mexico was colonised by Spain in 1792 so Mexico and Spain share some similarites eg. food and culture. The colours, the name and the material were inspired by sand because Mexico is a very sandy place and the fabric that i have chosen (linen) is quite thin. This is a good thing as Mexico is hot, the average temperature being between 16-18 degrees celsius and the linen is thin enough to let in some air. The dress would be worn over a brown bikini. Credits: I designed it by myself.
