Title: Flamingo Dance

The curves on a flamingo interested me most when exploring Mexican culture and life. Their curvy, thin necks, long legs, bright colour and overall feminine look inspired me to create a fitted dress with layers and layers of ruffles for volume to suggest feathers. I also took inspiration from the environment around them; Natural colours from the woods and earth, and added some beading to represent stones and soil. I have added some swatches which show the texture of fabric I would use.
