My inspiration for this design came from Aztec Mythology. Mictecacihuatl is the queen of the underworld and her purpose is to keep watch over the bones of the dead. She watches over the dead and is known as 'Lady of the Dead'. With current styles in mind and aspects of Mexico's rich beautiful culture, I created a design for the modern 'Lady of the Dead'.
