Title: Othello Retold Residency

Ö÷²¥´óÐã Blast, the Hip Hop Shakespeare Company, the National Youth Theatre and the Lowry Theatre have all teamed up to present Othello Retold.
It was produced during a 2-week Hip Hop Shakespeare residency featuring MOBO award-winning rapper, Akala.
50 young people worked with leading industry professionals and big name talent, including Chipmunk and Tinchy Stryder, to put together an incredible multimedia performance retelling Shakespeare's Othello in a totally modern way.
Having given the play a modern day twist and made the themes of the play more relevant to young people, they then staged two performances of Othello Retold at the Zion Arts centre in Hulme and the Lowry Theatre in Salford.
Othello Retold will air on Friday 27th November 2009 @ 5am on Ö÷²¥´óÐã Two.
