The brief for the competition:

Take a look at the profiles of our 3 bands:

Download a which contains of the bands that you are free to use and a blank .

Create an album cover for one of those three unsigned bands. Your design must include a portrait of some kind, either of the band themselves or a person who you think represents the band's personality and musical style.

Other than including an element of portraiture and using the blank template, you have complete freedom in materials you use, and what you do. You could paint, draw, digitally manipulate the images or create a collage for your design. It is totally up to you, but it must reflect the personality of the band you have chosen.

We judged your entries on:

  • Originality and imaginative flair
  • How your entries used portraiture to reflect the personality of the band and their music
  • Your artistic thought process in the explanation you provided alongside your design
