Entry to the Portrait Design Competition by Sami who attended a FREE workshop at Ö÷²¥´óÐã Blast on tour in Brighton. This design is for Rizzle Kicks. Sami says: I chosen Rizzle Kicks because they had a strong sence of modern character and ambition. To represent this, in my design I wanted to give it an impression of power & confidence to showcase the new up and coming talent. I chosen to sketch my design because it is the area of art I feel strongest, and also I consider sketching to be the one of the most creative and expressive forms of art. The the way I’ve used the portraiture in my design is by using the whole figures, because I feel in this image it gives the viewer a chance to feel the character of these musicians, as their pose gives a sense of attitude.
