Ed Sheeran Album Cover Competition Entry

I have choosen to design an album cover for Ed Sheeran because I like his style both in music and character and how he creates 'art' with music and lyrics keeping colours in mind. For the background of the cover I have 'Cartoonified' train tickets which relates to his liking of them and his quote, "If you don't know where you have been, you don't know where you are going." I chose the picture of him with his guitar because his songs are acoustic, the guitar also gives off a sense that it's symbolic and it is important in his work. For this work I used photopshop and paint. I digitally changed and constructed elements of Ed and the train tickets by Artistically blurring and shaping so it looks kind of like a collage. I have used portraiture in my design, by showing Ed and his guitar in the left corner.
