Title: El Policia Album Cover

I chose to make an album cover for El Policia because I really like their sound and genre of music. I tried to represent their minimalistic style in the cover which I made purely with computer programs. Since the band want their music to speak instead of their image, I removed their bodies from my cover. I think my use of portraiture was ironic because the bodies can't be seen and yet their posture of the body is still visible. I think the posture of the 'invisible' portraits is therefore emphasized. Small features of their face are also enhanced and draw attention. In the background I used natural tones which suit their acoustic sound. I deliberately left white space to again show the simplistic style of the band.
