Ed Sheeran represents the music I love, with meaningful lyrics, interesting beats and lively rhythms. I think my design really looks ‘arty’ and original with the simple line drawings and dashes of colour, and so fits in with his interests and personality. The image is free from digital manipulation to reflect the acoustic ‘flavour’ and authenticity of his music – the image isn’t ‘glossed up’, it is raw yet accomplished. I used bright colours to reflect his personality and the vibrance of his music – using complementary colours next to each other to increase their vividness, with the curving lines to capture the movement and excitement within his music. The image of Ed himself I think is really quirky and different – reflecting his musical style and personality well – so I thought it would be a really good one to include, especially as it showed his beaded bracelets (great personal style!).

I really like this design. It is simple but it conveys his music and colourfulness even though he is in fact black and white :)
