Title: El Policia

I chose El Policia as I liked their style of music, and watching the video I thought they sounded like friendly people. For my design I chose to use blurred city lights for the background, as they come from the city Manchester, I also used the colours because they were quite dark and mysterious, showing slightly the bands personality. First I drew each band member using the pose in one of the photographs provided. I sketched them, then scanned them into the computer so I could edit my final cover, I faded each band member into the blurred lights, as in the interview El Policia had said about wanting people to react to their music rather than themselves. This is also why I chose to make the band name small and, put it in the corner. Though it still stands out due to the colour of it compared to the background. The feel I got from their music was that they stood out from other bands, they have a very british sound, and they have quite a raw, new feel. So I wanted the album cover to be quite bold, which is why I have kept it mostly simple and used black and white for the band members, so that they stand out from the colour.
