Between April and November, the Blast Creative Traineeship scheme offers over 20 placements across a range of Ö÷²¥´óÐã departments giving the opportunity to work alongside Ö÷²¥´óÐã events, online and production teams.

It was brilliant to be able to communicate with some really interesting and creative professionals.

The Creative Traineeship has been the most valuable and exciting summer I have ever had. I cannot stress enough just how worthwhile it has been!

Zara, 22 - Asian Network:

The highlight of my placement would have to be working on the London Mela. I met so many fantastic people and was able to get advice and speak to them about how they got to the positions they are at now.

Naomi, 21 - Ö÷²¥´óÐã Radio 1:

I was given tasks with increasing responsibility and difficulty. I was given a great variety of work to do: from interviewing to editing to project managing a live event for Radio 1.

Filming at Maida Vale, reporting for Newsbeat, meeting presenters and producers and being asked to work on the Muse night documentary for Radio 1 were the highlights of my placement.

Rachael, 20 - Blast TV:
Rachael, 20 - Blast TV:

I loved camera-operating on shoots. I also spent the day at the Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps studio.

Lorianne, 22 - Blast Out Loud:
Lorianne, 22 - Blast Out Loud:

The traineeship taught me how to strive for opportunities, where to be humble and where to be bold, take initiative and that nothing is impossible if I work really, really hard.
