Title: Rizzle Kicks

I chose to design for Rizzle Kicks because of the new style they have brought to music. In my cover I wanted to capture the fresh sound, retro feel and charismatic personalities of them both. I used a computer to manipulate the image to reflect the artist. I cut the original photography and re-layered to create a new image, by doing this I tried to represent the layering that the artist uses when mixing genres. I have maintained the retro persona by using sepia colours that have been brightened and sharpened: this to identify the uniqueness of Rizzle and Sylvester. I carefully selected the text to make sure that it creates the right style and mood: the text that says ‘Rizzle Kicks’ represents the talent, charm and mysterious sense of the artist. It was crucial that the text stands out, just like the artist. I have created this by having a bright colour that contrasts the cover but fits with the colour scheme. I chose to use this piece of photography because I think it represents the talented, young and mischievous qualities of the artist. Overall, I think this cover is effective and captures the personality of Rizzle Kicks.
