Title: El Policia-Album Art

I chose El Policia because I liked their style of music, their characters, and their images where the most inspiring. I looked up their music influences, like the Velvet Underground and Ton Waits, and that helped me a lot to design the cover. I designed the square around them and their personalities that came over from reading the interview. I wanted the portrait to be split up with the neon shapes, so I put some bits of the portrait overlapping but some behind the background. In the beginning the neon shapes were in a perfect square shape but I asked my friends if they liked and they told me that it was too perfect, so I changed into a disfigured square shape. I also wanted to include their raw music style in the cover, so I drew the writing in a graffiti and rough style. I chose the colours simulate the city lights that mix well to form the design. I chose to design this cover in Photoshop but I drew the lettering and the shapes in the square. I hope there down to earth and easy going personalities come across. Thank you.
