After listening to, reading about and generally observing 'Rizzle Kicks', I wanted to design an album cover that would essentially reflect their personality and music style, whilst still succeeding as an impactful, distinct album cover. To achieve this, I decided upon using a combination of hand drawn and computer methods, with the intention of portraying a 'photocopy' visual language relevant to the artists and their image. I decided to design the 'Rizzle Kicks' cover as their music appealed to me most and I thought this particular design concept could have an interesting relation to the actual music; simple, retro, colourful and bold. To make the most of the portraiture available, I decided to 'cut out' sections for the facial features, re-enforcing the photocopied visual language idea.
