Title: Friend

by Jonty from Surrey | in writing, poetry

She can feel every single spring
Stabbing into her spine
Like a friend.
She sleeps awake, supine,
Lost on a voyage of thought,
Recapturing memories which have
Escaped her
Like a friend.
Every man she kissed,
Every tongue she caressed with hers,
Every breath that
Escaped her when that man comforted her
Like a friend.
