Title: Alone

by Hannah from Bedfordshire | in writing, poetry

Outcast.
Alone.
I stand silently.
The rain my only companion.
It hides my tears.
And washes me from the world.

Crying.
Blank.
My eyes are flat and dead.
Now and then a salty traitor escapes.
When I stand in a crowd, no one sees me.
People walk over me like a faceless paving stone.

Anguish.
Sorrow.
I may as well vanish.
Pain is invisible to people.
Their mindless chatter fills my ears,
As I drown in my sadness.

Peace.
Love.
Finally, someone found me.
Pulled me out of the pit of darkness.
They held my hand, freed my tears.
At last I am human.
At last I am
Loved.
