Title: Watch and stare

by Hannah from Bedfordshire | in writing, poetry

I watch and stare and watch and stare,
While sat upon my window chair.
The world outside, it holds no glee
With its rose tinted imagery.
As people talk and people laugh,
I sit here glaze-eyed like a calf.
My world it has no melody
No fleeting love or sun or sea
Just imposing walls like sightless eyes,
And curs'ed grounds where all must die.
With my hunch'ed back and blackened chair,
None do enter, none do dare.
So I watch and stare and watch and stare,
While sat upon my window chair.

How people feel lonely and isolated and all they can do is watch. I'm hoping this poem came across as a gothic-type style
