Title: Love poems of my own Century

by Olivia from Surrey | in writing, poetry

That Summer

Cool wind in my face,
Making the children's tree house,
His arms around me.

Just to Say...

In the garden, holding hands,

Looking at each others faces
Overlooking childish comments
Volvo in our cottages garage
Everything I ever wanted

You are the only one
Oven gloves on my hands
Under the mistletoe, but we're not shy.

Where the Daffodils Once Grew

Sitting there with your arms around me,
The daffodils swaying in the cool summer breeze,
Hoping to find a way to please me,
But you know that I am easily pleased.

Making sure, being careful,
Whilst laughing with me in the sun,
Sitting around, not very playful,
But I don't mind because we are one.

Our laughing stops just years later,
But we know that's okay.
For in front of us, in his own crater,
Our son, his name be Kay.

Ten years later, on the ground,
Where the daffodils once grew,
They, my husband and also my son,
Lie there with a thousand others or few.

My love, my life is here right now and never shall he leave as those did in the fictional writing of myself.
