Title: Heartbeat

by Olivia from Surrey | in writing, fiction

Sometimes people stare. Not always though. It depends how they're feeling on the day they decide to look. They look at me, and what I've been through. They don't have to ask, they read it in my face. Being at school in California is ... interesting. I've never really fitted in. Well, I have friends but not the type you'd call popular. I'm normally dis included from any type of popularity. But ever since this happened to me, they've changed towards me. They comfort me, but they look happy that I'm not completely oblivious to the fact that they're there. They tell me it's going to be okay. I know it isn't. He's never coming back. Jacob is never coming back. I think about him all the time. But it never seems to help. He left and I can't understand why. He's normal and confident and amazingly good looking. But he left, without his Dad or his brother or me. He said he'd never go anywhere without me. He lied. Not only to his family but to the one who loves him most.
I get a call. A couple of weeks ago it would've been Jacob. I look down at my cell. It's Charlie. I know he's trying to be nice and everything but I don't want to talk. My cell ring s again. I pick it up this time.
"Bella? Bella are you there? Bella?"
I look down to see who had called I think my heart stopped.
"Jacob?"

I read the series of Twilight and it gave me so many ideas. I want to try and use that but not to copy. I want to use it to inspire me to write differently to the usual style of writing I use.
