Title: Death met his eyes

by Oleta from Kent | in writing, poetry

He lay curled up like a small child,
He thought he could play the hero,
Today,
He knew he thought wrong.

His head was swollen,
From all the words that were spat at him,
Today,
He felt like a complete failure.

The needle that started his insanity,
Had wiped away all his self respect,
His wife knew what it was,
But she didn't want to tell him.

I remember writing a story that's based on this poem.
