My life is me,
And me is my life,
I live for today,
I live for tomorrow,
Trying to ignore the pain and sorrow,
All around me,
Everywhere I go,
Lands are barren,
Hearts are broken,
The days are dark,
And peace is a token.
I live today,
I live tomorrow,
I lend my love for people to borrow,
Hands around me,
Are permanently stained,
With the sins that have been committed,
And what does it gain?
To cause all this pain.
My life is me,
And me is my life,
Let there be a day when there'll be no strife.
