Title: I bet life is sweeter on the other side

by Nadine | in writing, poetry

An eye in a window, gazing, free.
What does it see?
Sickness. Hatred. Death.
No one stopping for a breath.

People are dropping like flies.
Through petty crime, gangs killings, and lies.
Cutting school,
Just to be cool.

Their hearts are cold.
Taking hostages, no matter how old.
The statistics are rising,
Guns always advertising.

The media's not helping.
T.V. is terrorising.
Young people are being brainwashed,
At any taken cost.

Drugs are all around.
Singing a sweet sound.
If you're not high,
Then you can't fly.

The sights that the eye sees,
Sting harder than killer bee's.
But what can one eye do on its own,
The whole world needs to be shown.
