Ok, back to English now. I'm 17, and personally, I feel like I have had a seriously lucky escape. After all, I have just missed the generation of people that actually do spell things like that. To me- that is NOT English.
My sister spells like that, I don't understand her whilst I try to talk to her via email or instant messaging. I just think, how can we expect children to be able to spell, when they spend most of their time spelling things completely wrong and sometimes, don't even make sense?
I think that it is important that we make an effort to differentiate to children between the way we speak on the internet and through text, and the way we should spell in education and work. I don't feel like we are though and that is the problem!
