Title: Holding on

by Lucy from Staffordshire | in writing, poetry

Everyone has someone
Though not many can find someone
They spend their lives searching
Hoping and wishing
Holding out for a hero is ok
As long as they are going to pass your way
Some are left with just memories
Some long for those memories
Crying eyes
Hold empty lies
Told to forget there woe
But lying here I see no way to go
Places hold those thoughts and dreams
Places can hold haunted screams
But I'm holding on
Wishing on
The fact you still love me
And the fact you still are lovely

If I'm honest it was inspired by an old boyfriend. He never wanted to let go but neither did I. However we split because it was a fatal attraction. I never usually write poems so its not very good.
