Trapped shadow
Elemental shade
Paling into insignificance,

Hope draining from
Every pore seeking
New depths to plunge
For

Endless tyranny.

Years of waiting
Watching in the silence
Of a thousand years

Emotional shell so burnt inside pain can not be expressed

Not with these trapped shadows eyes.

The inspiration for this piece is a character from a book Im writing, she's alone and she is trying to spark a revolution to get rid of the dictatorship they live in now.
