Title: Isabel

by Frances from Wales | in writing, poetry

There once was a girl called Isabel,
Who had a bicycle with a bell
She rang it all day,
And then rang it all night,
Until her dad took it off her with a fight
Isabel howled with all her might
And people shivered at the sight
'Quickly!' said Fran
'Give her back that bike and end her plight!'
'Never!' said dad
But he changed his mind
When Mum gave him some headphones and Led Zepplins' CD

There once was a girl called Isabel
Who had a bicycle with a bell
Now, no longer
Shes grown much stronger
And has a drum kit now
Oh when the neighbours think back to that tragic night
To the sweet tinkle of the bicycle bell
And then hear the crash of the drumsticks
Oh woe to that day
Oh how they howl.
