Title: Doves and the horizon

by Jonathan from Lancashire | in writing, poetry

On the window ledge sit two doves, huddled closely together as the sun sets in, over the wall of the grey, cold stone yard, animals stir and flee as a mechanical monster rips the silence with the roar of its engine, but the doves do not move they continue to stare over the horizon into the sun set, as its last light warms the land, they huddle closer to each other for warmth as the sun disappears and darkness surrounds, they are not afraid though, for they have each other, where they will nestle tomorrow night is anyone's guess, for at first light they have the whole horizon to explore.

My view of how modern technology effects the natural world, but when in love you are too caught in the moment to notice.
