(Before curtain opens themes to Spiderman, superman, Cat woman and Wonder woman play to the audience. Music stops as curtain rises and reveals an empty stage apart from a black backdrop, a large mirror attached to ceiling and wall reflecting the audience. Behind the backdrop is a series of plat forms and ladders, looks almost like an obstacle course, which is revealed to the audience in due course. Then Spiderman cartoon theme tune plays, and a young man who is short and tubby dressed fully in Spiderman costume comes out, rolls to each corner of the floor, stops at front of stage and shouts 'spidy web!' putting his hand out in traditional 'spider web' movement. He realises its not working looks confused and then sad and walks to the back f the stage sits in backstage left corner sulking keeping on trying to create his web but never happens. Cat woman music plays and back drop is lifted to reveal a young woman, slim and slender with blonde hair dressed fully in Cat woman outfit is leaning like a cat on one of the platforms and then in cat like movements plays on platforms by climbing on to one another, all trying to show off to the audience and then climbs down starts to walk slowly to audience in cat like manner. However cat woman music is interrupted by Wonder woman music, and Cat woman darts off like a scared cat into another corner and looks like she is ready to pounce. Wonder woman comes on, slim and slender young woman, with dark hair, there is an essence of fake ness about her but still she comes on defiant and gallant, but plainly without anything special to it, walks on and seems to give a show to audience, showing them her 'accessories'. Cat woman has softened at this point and is sitting resentfully while wonder woman places herself in another corner as Superman music starts, Superman, a young man who is toned and muscular, everything you would expect from Superman. He flies in as everyone else strands up in awe, from the sides people are shouting 'is it a plane, is it a bird no its Superman' He lands at the front of the audience smiling a fake smile, his arms on his hips standing triumphantly, he seems to just be standing there, not knowing what else to do, smiling his 'TV' smile. Music suddenly stops and everyone seems to relax and become themselves apart form superman who stands there looking awkward, wonder woman watching in puzzlement.)

(They become themselves; they all appear to have Liverpudlian accents.)

Cat woman: (seems to have lost all cattiness about her, she stands shrugged and is warmer then the beginning, she is smiling)
'Alright superman'

(Superman is woken up from his fakeness and becomes very nervous and nods towards cat woman)

Wonder woman: (distraught at cat woman's teasing) 'Oh give it a rest Cat woman'

Spiderman: (walking over next to superman who is cold and still, with an air of indifference to everyone) 'It just won't happen, why can't I do it?'

Superman: (looking up for first time) 'do what?'
Spiderman: 'This!' (Makes Spiderman web gesture again)

Superman: 'What's that?'

Spiderman: 'My spidy web! Its just not happening, what's wrong with me?'

Superman: 'Oh (pause) don't worry it will come eventually'

(By this time Spiderman has lost interest in conversation and goes back to his corner, Cat woman seems to be practicing on platforms at the back. Superman is looking at Spiderman coldly with almost no emotion, just staring at him, body upright and stiff.)

Wonder woman: (not seen by audience covered by superman) 'How are you then?'

Superman: (jumping to the side, shocked at being spoken too, he seems to have woken up at this point) 'yeah ummm okay, thanks, you?'

Wonder woman: 'Fine, so why do you think we're here?'

Superman: Dunno, s'pose cause they told us too' (nods towards audience)

Wonder woman: 'oh yeah I wonder what they want us too'

(At this point superman has already walked off towards Spiderman and is looming over him casting a shadow over Spiderman talking to him blankly.)

(As this is happening Cat woman seems to have gone back to her cat like personae and is practicing on the platforms, Wonder woman is looking at audience nervously, she puts on her fakeness and repeats the show she put on at the start of the play. Cat woman falls over and a load thump is heard they all rush over)
Cat woman: (standing up) 'its okay, I'm not hurt, that's lucky then isn't it, If id broken something, well that's it really! (She says it in a sarcastic tone suitable to her character, however she seems somewhat serious, while the others seem to laugh nervously all apart from superman.)

(They all sit huddled in a line on the lowest plat form, Superman a little distanced from the others.)

Spider man: (Like it is a well known fact.) 'Harry Potter.'

All besides Spiderman: 'What?'

Spiderman: 'If Harry potter got hurt and died that would have been it'

(They all seem to be in agreement, and smiling at the thought of Harry Potter.)

Cat woman: 'If we were in Hogwarts, what house d o you reckon we'd be in, I'd well be in Ravenclaw'

Wonder man: 'Id like to think I'm Griffindor material.'

Spiderman: 'Id be in Griffindor, tat bravery isn't it, and I'm brave.'

Wonder woman: (Who turns out to be more 'catty' then cat woman, but in a joking manner: 'naahh you're not Griffindor, you're not exactly brave lets be honest now'

Spiderman: (jumping up to face her) 'I am brave! I could do that (pointing to back 'obstacle course') I could! (Turning to audience) I could do it! You know I could do it, you expect me to do it!'
(Others at this point are looking nervous, none more so then Superman, he stands up on the platform to watch him carefully, as Spiderman is attempting to do it he suddenly falls, and at that point Superman leaps to save him, however he does not want to be saved and pushes superman away, shouting 'I can do it!' Superman then seems to fall and hit the side and a large bang is heard, Superman is dead. Spiderman backs off, there is silence as it sinks in suddenly Wonder woman screams and runs to him crying, she is throwing her accessories on the floor as this happens, Spiderman takes of his mask, Cat woman staring at the audience, and mouths you. There is silence apart from Wonder woman's crying.)
