Title: Untitled

by Jo from Scotland | in writing, fiction

Libby is centre stage. She has just got home. She ran straight up to her room and chucked her bag on the bed.

(On stage)
Libby = I'm so sick of school. It's boring and the teachers try to make you grow up too fast. We have been doing careers just now and I don't know what I want to do when I'm older so I don't know which subjects to choose.

She lets out a huge sigh.

(Off Stage)
Mum= Libby, you better be doing that homework!

She looks annoyed because she's having such a hard time and her mum doesn't even know.

(On Stage)
Libby= That's another thing, I've so much homework, I could make a house out of homework jotters, and my friends keep arguing and I'm stuck in the middle.

(Off Stage)
Mum= Chicken Tikka for tea, Libby.

(On Stage)
Libby= Not again!

(Off Stage)
Mum= Why not you'll probably want something fancy like fish and chips.

(On Stage)
Libby= what's that?

Libby has been so used to having foreign food she doesn't even know the foods that are from her own country.

My story is about a girl who is having such a hard time and her mum doesn't even know. Just like the real life of a teenager.
