Title: Paper boats

by Grace from Cornwall | in writing, poetry

Do you remember the bridge where we used to stand?
Side by side,
Hand in hand,
A bag of sweets together we shared,
As through my eyes and into my heart you stared,
I remember just then, when our eyes met,
That longing look I'll never forget,
You were loved, adored and really cared for,
And when we kissed troubles floated away like paper boats across the harbour.
