Demetris was laying on the cool, damp sand watching the birds fly over the mountains, He looks around and nobody is there. It's too early. All of a sudden he sees a dark hole in the side of the cliff. He looks around and yet again sees no one. He walks toward the entrance of what can only be described as a cave but he hesitates. There could be so many dangers, but he ignores his concerns and climbs over the rocks and slides secretly into the cave. In the dark his imagination takes hold of him and he sees creatures he had read about in books at school. Around him was long forgotten treasure from far off lands. He reached out slowly as if to touch it when he hears an almighty roar. He spins round like a bullet to see something even his young imagination could not have made up. A terrifying beast that stood at least 8 foot off the ground was looming over Demetris. He could smell flesh on its breath and it looked hungry. It went to swipe at him but he ducks and grabs a golden dagger and plunges it into it. The creature withdraws obviously in pain and fades into the distance. He strains his eyes against the pitch black abyss and hears the beautiful singing of an angel. He follows the sound and reaches a rock that seemed tactfully placed in front of tunnels that reached further into darkness. He makes a conscious decision to not go down either. On the rock was a half woman half fish singing and humming to herself. It seems obvious as to what she was, but Demetris decides not to rush to conclusions. The woman is sitting gracefully hands running through her silky black hair that is stuck to her damp skin, which glistens of the light produced by the glowing, magical shells she has around her wrist. It shines on the gold, silver and diamonds scattered around. She stops singing and all of a sudden the beautiful woman is gone and she has turned into an ugly beast. He runs and doesn't stop running until he almost knocks down a stocky character. The man he had run into laughs and hold out his hand to Demetris and says 'Hello, I'm Johnny'
'And you are?'
Demetris replies and asks 'How do I get out?'. Before the man could answer Demetris slips and falls bum first into the cold water. Demetris gets up and repeats himself. The man has mysteriously disappeared, He calls out to the man but there is no answer. Demetris wades through the water thinking that he will never see his 16th birthday which is days away. He sees the entrance and runs towards it.

Demetris wakes up to the cold tide covering his legs. He looks around for the cave but it is nowhere to be seen. Had it all been a dream?
