Title: The Moon

by Han from Worcestershire | in writing, fiction

The indigo remains removed all signs of the previous day whilst the soft moon peered curiously over her shoulder and danced gracefully over the surface of the silent water, scattering the mirror images, turning them into grotesque silhouettes, a cruel interpretation on a masterpiece of nature.

Her numbed limbs hugged her knees, her unseeing eyes lost in the mystical shadows dancing in front of her. A single cold tear pricked her eye and fell rapidly to her feet, causing her once dormant toes to unconsciously curl into a protective ball.

And still the moon shone.

I was in Egypt and missed my friends. I pictured this image of myself.
