Title: Model Life

by Joanna from Lancashire | in writing, fiction

I have it all, don't I? I have a perfect family, perfect friends, perfect grades, perfect boyfriend. I have a perfect life. I live in a house that is made of glinting, gilded, gold. Passers-by stand still while walking past, shocked at its beauty, lost for words. Locals call it the 'House of Queens', but even they can't help staring. My mum is a model and wants me to be one too. Yeah, sure I like the clothes and glamour but it's not as easy as it looks. People shouting your name from your beauty. My mum puts me into beauty contests. I always win. Girls dream of being me. They dream and it never happens. I suppose I was just lucky in a weird sort of way.
