Title: The Battle Of Britain

by Craig from Cornwall | in writing, poetry, war

The whistling winter of a wind:
Invaded.

Snap crackle pop
a fiery red barrel of a gun.

Paper aeroplane acrobatics
holepunch pirouette
dance routines played out on our borders.

Morse code love letters
a pilot - a radar pylon
electric fence relationships.

Man and machine collectively painted
patriotically on the cliffs of dover.

Victory
contemplated within the fine edge of a knife.

The Battle Of Britain:
Men and women,
I appreciate your loss of life.
