Title: Into the Background

by Louise from Northamptonshire | in writing, poetry, lyrical

The distant smile,
Over the room.
The silent eye,
Connects with mine.
Three words escape your lips,
Lost into the background.

The final whistle,
The blow of steam,
You start to move and
I can't keep up.
Faster and fater,
Into the background.

Waving goodbye,
From the silver car,
You look sad,
I'm looking 'happy'.
I turn away,
Into the background.

A massive hug,
Tears start to flow,
Big hazel eyes,
Look into your deep blue.
Hand in hand we walk,
Into the background.

Its a poem I wrote a while ago when I was going through a rough time and I thought that if you read this then you would be able to express your emotions through poetry and song. x
